Baby Update

Well I had my 16 week appointment yesterday and everything went great. The baby's heart sounds great and everything seems to be going great. So we are very excited about that. So our official doctor ultrasound is set up for July 12, so 3 weeks from yesterday. Even though we already know that we are having a sweet little girl we still can't wait to see more pictures of her and see her move around again! :)
On another fun note, we are like 75% sure that I felt our baby move last night for the first time. It was kinda funny because me and Danny were looking at things on the internet about what's going on with baby now that she's 16 weeks and one of the things that it was talking about was that I might start feeling her move. So then we were talking about how I haven't and that from what we have heard it usually takes a couple more weeks for first time mommys. So then I started looking at other websites that were telling me that she is approximately the size of an avocado and is about 4.6 inches long. Well as I was looking at it I suddenly felt this weird flutter in my stomach. The best way I can describe it is that it kinda felt like when you are at Lagoon and your stomach kinda flips when you are riding a ride, but it was lower and not as intense as a feeling. So then I was like Oh, and grabbed my stomach because it had come out of nowhere. It didn't hurt but at the same time it wasn't the most pleasant feeling either. But it only lasted a second so I really didn't think anything of it. But then within 30 seconds I felt it again with the same reaction. So I jokingly told Danny, Maybe it's the baby. But then it happened again a few moments later and then for a 4th time and at that point I was really starting to think that it was. So I called my sister and asked her if thats what it would feel like. Well after talking for a few minutes she said that it sounded to her that most likely I was feeling our baby! So anyways we aren't positive that I did but we are pretty sure it probably was. So that was a lot of fun. I can't wait til when I start feeling her more on a regular basis and also for when Danny will be able to feel her move and kick around in there. He is so cute about all of this. I have the sweetest husband ever! He is always talking to and kissing my tummy. And he is just so excited for when our little girl gets here!

How exciting! I'm so happy for you two - it's the most wonderful (and exhausting!) thing to bring a new baby into the world! Can't wait to see some baby belly pics! :D

cute cute!! Congratulations! It's so exciting! And yes, it does sound like you felt her more. Just wait till she wakes you up in the middle of the night. (some do some don't.)

That is so exciting!! I'm glad everything is going so well for you guys. You crack me up about not being able to wait to find out what you're having, but yeah for girls! She'll have Danny wrapped around her little finger that's for sure! Nick says there's nothing like having a little girl. He let's McKell get away with everything! And it does sound like you felt her move too. How fun! It really is amazing to be able to feel life inside of you. A true miracle. I describe the first movements like a little butterfly or muscle twitches in my belly. Just wait because it gets better! Can't wait to see you guys next weekend!
